How to Apply

Instructions for the Applicants

Before filling up the online application form, the candidate must ensure that he/she is eligible to apply for such course and keep the scanned copies of photograph, signature, payment slip and other necessary certificates in System / Pen Drive ready.

A valid e-mail id and mobile number is mandatory for the submission of the Online Application. This e-mail id and mobile number should be kept active till the declaration of results. The important information regarding the application and examination updated by Sambalpur University will be send to the registered e-mail id/mobile number.

The particulars mentioned in the registration form including Degree, Department, Courses, Caste Category, Date of Birth, Address, Email-ID, Mobile No. etc. will be considered as final and the candidate will not be allowed to edit/ delete any of the fields in the registration form.

Applications received without appropriate application fee, required documents & information is liable to be rejected.

Procedure for Filling up the Online Admission Form (The applicants applying for P.G courses may go through the procedure carefully to fill in the Online Admission Form without any inconvenience).

  1. Firstly, an applicant needs to register by clicking on the link "Register here", which consists of  basic information about the student. The applicant needs to upload his/ her photo and signature as per the size mentioned above.
  2. The applicant will be allocated with an Application Registration Number on successful completion of the registration process and he same will be sent to the valid mobile number and e-mail id of the applicant too. The generated registration number can also be used to check the admission related updates from time to time.
  3. Secondly, the applicants fulfilling the academic criteria mentioned in the e-admission portal may proceed for Online Payment through SB Collect where the generated Application Registration Number must be used to pay the required amount. Click here to view the payment procedure. The applicants applying for PG need to pay Rs. 500. It is to be noted that the required amount once paid, is non-refundable.
  4. It is for the information of all the applicants that in order to apply for different courses simultaneously, one need to register and pay the required amount separately for each course.
  5. Thirdly, after the successful completion of payment process, the applicant may log in to his/her account by using the generated application registration number and password to fill in the Online Application Form.
  6. In case, the applicant forgets his/her application registration number or password then he/she may click on the link “Login Problem” in the home page of e-admission portal to retrieve the same which will be automatically forwarded to the valid mobile no. and e-mail id of the applicant.
  7. After login, click on the "Apply Now" link.
  8. The application form consists of five steps. Step 1 includes personal information, Step 2 is about reservation information, Step 3 consists of educational information, Step 4 includes uploading of required documents. Step 5 will allow the applicant to review the filled in information of the entire admission form and edit the form at any step, if necessary.
  9. The applicants with all the required academic information may fill in the application form, complete the online application process and may take print out of the application form.
  10. The applicant can download the index card and admit card by using valid log in details. The admit card consists of the few important details of the applicant and the date, time, venue of the entrance examination. SMS and e-mail alert will be send to the valid mobile number and e-mail id of the applicant.
  11. The entrance examination will be conducted on specific dates mentioned by the respective departments and the entrance schedule will be reflected in the website too.
  12. The result of the entrance examination will be published in the e-admission portal eventually. The applicant may view his/her result by giving the valid log in details.
  13. The final merit list will be published based on the marks secured in the entrance examination.
  14. The admission letter can be downloaded by the selected applicants by using their valid log in details. The date, time, venue of admission and the necessary documents will be mentioned in the admission letter. SMS and e-mail alert will be activated regarding the same.
  15. After submitting the form successfully, take two print out of the Form, staple two attested copies of your photographs along with all relevant documents(e-Receipt of SB Collect and self attasted copies of all mark sheet and certificate), undertaking Form duely filled in & signed and send it the respective Head/Cordinator, Course name____, Dept name____ , Sambalpur University, Jyoti Vihar Burla-768019 Dist.Sambalpur, Odisha. The envolope must be superscribed as "Application for PG Admission into Course applying For and Index No-_____". The other copy of the Form should be with the Student. The applicants need to produce the printed application form with the below mentioned enclosures at the time of admission:-
    1. Mark sheets and Certificates of all examinations.
    2. Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority.
    3. Person with Disability(PWD) Certificate issued by the competent authority.
    4. Two copies of self attested passport size photograph attached along with the form.
    5. Sports Certificate attested by competent authority - Director of Sports/Sports Council of the University countersigned by the Principal/HOD of the College/Department.
    6. Ex-service men/In-service men Certificate (if any) issued by the competent authority.
    7. NSS/NCC Certificate (if any) issued by the competent authority.
